Today I am Grateful for Whales

I have always wanted to see a whale, always wanted to go whale watching, but even with living so close to parts of the coast where whales often frolic as they migrate, I simply never had.

Until today.

After a long, emotional day James decided to take us all for a drive out to the headland to allow us all to get out of the house, breath some nice fresh air and have the girls run around for awhile and wouldn’t you know that as we arrived I saw an almighty splash that was a baby whale playing.

Watching him (I am not sure why, but I decided he was a boy) was amazing and I felt a calm washing over me as I marvelled at such a beautiful, wondrous, free sight.

It was exactly what I needed in that moment.

It also reminds us of how remarkable our planet is and all who live upon and within it.

  6. Aren't whales awesome? I saw some very recently and they just blew me away. To imagine that such huge, powerful creatures were swimming all around our boat, actually interested in this strange contraption. I wonder what they make of us?

  7. Valuable info. Lucky me I found your site by accident, I bookmarked it.
