Funnies, jokes and hilarious words are all the rage here at the moment. Ellie has suddenly discovered ‘jokes’ and will tell them endlessly to Kahlei and they will both be in complete hysterics.
I love this phase of discovering jokes but not quite getting them.
Knock knock jokes are a bit of a favourite and at bed time Ellie likes to share one or two. Things like;
They’re pure gold.
They’re even better if you can combine a joke and add a bodily function like fart, wee or poo.
I had a winner with my a-choo knock knock a few nights back and haven’t been able to think of a single one since, so I sent James in to share some witty lines. He went with this;
“Why did the chicken cross the road?” Which, of course, led to many questions of why, how, where and did you see it? It seems we’re not quite up to discovering why the chicken crossed the road, but we are concerned as to whether Daddy saw this crazy thing happening and where is that damn chicken now?
It’s a good time for these happy, carefree jokes and hours of laughter – it is helping lift my spirit.
If you’re like me and needing a bit of a laugh, this video might help;
Do you know any good jokes? Or better yet, do your kids?

I am blogging my journey through parenthood, as I fight my Postnatal Depression and focus on bringing positivity into our family life and being the best I can be.
