  1. Grasshoppers are such weird looking creatures. Great photos!

    • Aren’t they? I have SO many of this guy and lots of his eyes, but they freak me out so I chose these to share instead!

  2. We have had heaps of grasshoppers here on the farm recently too! Great photos.

    • I’ve not seen big ones like this guy before, but since I’ve seen quite a few! Thanks for your comment

  3. Oh I miss grasshoppers! We used to get lots on the farm, not so many now we live in town. GORGEOUS pics Becky xx

    • Being an ‘in-towner’ is probably why I’ve not seen big ones like this before. Now, we’re on the outskirts and in a quiet spot so I am sure to see more.

  4. Such a peaceful moment. I love taking the time to observe the world around me, you never know what you can find before your eyes!

    • I love it, too. Since getting my macro lens, I have found myself taking more time to simply SEE – even if my camera isn’t in my hand.

  5. I love the treatment of your photo

    • Thank you Tamara – sometimes I can’t help myself and have to play in photoshop!

  6. Love these Macro shots they look fantastic

    • Thank you for dropping by and leaving a comment, Julia!

  7. Great shots 🙂

    • Thanks Claire!

  8. Wow ! Those shots are amazing ! I remember catching grasshoppers as a kid. Happy memories…maybe not for the grasshoppers, though 😐

    • We used to catch grasshoppers, too, but they were always small ones. This one was flying and jumping at me and had me screaming like a child!
And, you’re right, the memories for the grasshoppers maybe weren’t so happy!

  9. Stunning shots Backy – love the light rays.

    • Thanks Trish x
