Hello November

So, it’s November. I knew it was coming, but I’ve deliberately avoided thinking about NaNoWriMo. I failed spectacularly last year, in fact I don’t even know if I saw out a week.

After recently updating my 30 Before 30 with a couple of ticks I gave it a quick once over and realised that Number 15 was Win NaNoWriMo. Not attempt it. Not participate. Oh no, i made number fifteen on my 30 Before 30 list WIN NaNoWriMo.

I’ve been barely able to publish blog posts with any regularity for the past few months, so I quickly pushed it out of my mind. Who’s stupid idea was this list anyway?

There was a part of me, a secret squirrel part, which knew that I had to do it. A part of me that wants to knock off as many of those thirty as possible. A crazy part of me that intended to let November approach before jumping out and yelling “Surprise! You’re participating in NaNoWriMo! Yay!”

How fun is that secret part of me? So fun.

Are you joining me this year? Let me know that you’re crazy, too?

  1. Oh…hell no! Just the thought of writing that many words makes me ill. It’s like an assignment, I hated assignment! lol

But good luck to you, you can do it! 🙂

    • Kinda wishing I’d become ill at the thought right now! So far behind, BUT I am committed!

  2. Good on you!

I’m going to try NaNoBloMo – essentially committing to blogging every day in November, but not committing to any set number of words. That’s a stretch enough for me. Maybe next year I’ll do the proper one…

    Popping over from FYBF,

  3. Good on you! I’m sure you’ll do great!
I won’t be doing it this year…I have too much going on. And at the moment, I’m writing every day as it is. But will like to have a crack at it next year. Maybe. 🙂

  4. Good luck with the challenge, I run the Happy place 30 day blog last year it was tough but worth it,xx

  5. Wow thats a huge goal!! Go for it though! Anything is possible!! I’ve set myself a little goal too blog at least one post a day for november, my wedding is on 1st dec so thats my goal. One day at a time!!! Jumping over from Grace FYBF!

  6. Good luck with the challenge! I also registered this year and I think it’s a crazy idea! But I’m kind of excited about it!

  7. I have NFI what any of these anagrams mean but good luck for you! 🙂

  8. My decision to join in was made similarly…at the last moment, and on the spur of the moment. I say do what you can, even if you only crank out 10,000 words, that’s 10k more than you had at the beginning of the month. Who knows, you may gain momentum and surprise yourself.
