Top Ten: TV Shows

This week’s #ibot post was meant to be my monthly Smile File for March except that Easter threw me with it’s extra day off, so when I realised today was Tuesday I was ill-prepared. I’ll share that next Tuesday – feel free to join me if you want to!

As I am currently typing one-handed thanks to a busted shoulder I’ve decided to go for something shorter and share my top 5 TV shows of all time, the ones I have to watch every episode of. Or had to, before they broke my heart and went and got axed.

1. Offspring
2. Life
3. Outrageous Fortune
4. Veronica Mars
5. New Girl
6. House
7. Modern Family
8. Will & Grace
9. HomeLand
10. Burn Notice

With honorable mentions to Ally Mcbeal, Dr Quin Medicine Woman, Felicity, Gilmore Girls, Murder She Wrote and Emily Owens M.D. Also Party of Five and Birds of Paradise. I have to stop now before I actually list every show ever.

Do you/did you watch any of these?
What are your all time favourites?
What have I missed?

  1. So I need to know if you reckon I should watch Homeland the second series?! I only watched the first and I loved it!

    • YES! I loved the first season and was worried what the second would be like but it was pretty awesome. I say go for it!

  2. I don’t think we can be friends any more! There is no Grey’s Anatomy, Buffy, Bones, Friends or How I met Your Mother!!
How will we get past this? πŸ˜‰

    • Ohh no! Surely we can work it out?? Or maybe not, as I’ve never watched any of these except Friends when one of the stations (can’t remember which) ran the episodes again. I did love it. Tell me we’ll be okay?

  3. will and grace… classic!!! Hope you are feeling a little better today. Water Rats was a favourite of mine growing up. My brother and I were obsessed! x

    • Thanks, getting there! My hubby was obsessed with Water Rats, too, apparently. I never saw it so have no idea why he’s still so nostalgic about it.

  4. Sorry, not really in to any of these shoes. Actually, I don’t know WHAT shows I’m into! Maybe I don’t watch enough TV?!

    • That’s probably a good thing, Janet! Thankfully, most of these are older or I’d have a full time job TV watching!

  5. Don’t tell anyone but on one of the channels here they did have Dr Quin on at 9am! – I would pack the kids off to school and sit down and do some blog reading while it was on! Love that show!

    • Ohhh! Really? How awesome is that?

  6. I love Offspring too! I didn’t like it at first but then I got hooked in seasons two and now can’t wait for season 4 to start! They are saying soon, but I need to know how soon is soon, I am desperate!

    • It’s definitely improved since that first season. I think Patrick helps a lot with that, too!! I can’t wait for the next season either!

  7. Oh I miss Will and Grace. I did used to love that one, although it went off track a bit in the final series (as so many of them do). Modern Family is a great though – similar wit and camp humour too.

    • So true, so many go funny toward the end. If only they could all end perfectly!

  8. Oh I feel like such a loser – I’ve never really watched any of these shows!! I really must wake up to myself and get into some decent programming!

    • I am sure there are many who don’t consider any of these decent programming πŸ˜‰ Obviously, I do though, lol.

  9. Oh yeah I watch them all except Burn Notice, I tried but didn’t get the chemistry πŸ™ i am adding New Girl to the list! πŸ™‚

    • I loved Burn Notice but they moved it to the other Ten station without saying anything so I’ve not been able to get back into it. We missed heaps before realising it was still on elsewhere! LOVE New Girl! So good.
