I have a weird thing about photographing pelicans right now…
Linking up with Trish for Wordless Wednesday.
They are amazing birds aren’t they?! They are just so big but look so majestic when in flight. I love your photos. You’ve got a great eye for photography 🙂
They are amazing. I’ve never really paid much attention to them until recently. I saw them fly for the first time this year and I am always in awe that they can be so graceful – they seem to large and cumbersome to be able to fly!
Like the photos of the pelicans. Here it is pouring with rain and a storm on the way …. your photos were a welcome sight to a nicer day.
Thanks Jacana. I hope you get some sunshine soon!!
I can smell the sea air from here! That last shot keeps making me want to put my hand out to steady him as he looks like he’s gonna topple over at any second!
I KNOW! I saw that last pelican sitting like that and stayed watching for ages, it just doesn’t look possible that he can stay sitting like that and then I went down a few days later to find 6 of them in the same spot like that but I had forgotten my camera!
Gorgeous photos of pelicans! I went to the zoo recently and my best photos were of pelicans.
They are quite photogenic, aren’t they? Funny things.
I can tell – but there’s worse things to have a ‘weird thing’ for. Great shots – love that barnacle shot x
Haha. So true.
Love the bird shots, pelicans are awkward looking and graceful at the same time, graceful when they’re in the water anyway. I really like that third photo too 🙂
Thanks so much Alicia!
Lovely photos and lovely to see you today. Sorry I didn’t get to chat.
Thanks Trish. It wasn’t really chat friendly at the event, hopefully next time!
