To combat that, I am trying to see and capture the little snippets of good stuff that can be overlooked in my foggy and exhausted state. I am using a diary to record the things I am grateful for and this month I started using an app called 1SE (1 Second Everyday) where I choose 1 second of video to represent each day.
I have just compiled January’s videos, and I am pleased to say that those tiny snippets captured have had the desired effect. I need those glimpses to remind me that yesterday wasn’t just hour upon hour of sleep issues and deprivation. Or that last Thursday wasn’t only filled with tantrums.
Focusing on the positive isn’t always easy, when you’re living in a fog. Even if you want it to be your default state.
For now, I will continue to collect these snippets to get me through.
