Given yesterday was Grand Final Day, James figured it would be the perfect time to have lunch at the zoo and spend a couple of hours with some gorgeous animals. As the saying goes, great minds think alike and it wasn’t nearly as quiet as he anticipated. Still, it’s always a great day out (even if we all end up grumpy) and I took my DSLR for the first time in a long time. I’m still trying to remember settings and what works and wondering if my eyesight is maybe a little bit blurrier than it was the last time I took photos…
When the missus is grumpy!

What fabulous photos – you’ve completely disproven that saying about never working with children and animals. That feral kid pic made me laugh!
We LOVE Mogo Zoo. Great snaps. I love the giraffe skin one!
Such a difference when you get out the DSLR isn’t it? These are magical. I need to do more of this. You have reminded me.
Thank you for linking up for #lifethisweek. Next week’s optional prompt is Best Friend Stories. Denyse.
I love a day at the zoo photo. Sometimes the photos of the humans are the best!
